Mustang Division:


Update 7/30/06:
With the tying run at the plate, the Mustang "A" team was not able to convert against a tough Chandler, AZ team ending their run with an 8-6 loss. All the teams in the West Zone tournament were very evenly matched and it just came down to having hot bats at the right time. It was a great run for our team and we are all very proud of their accomplishment of making it to the Mustang West Zone tournament!

Agoura, CA plays Bellevue, WA tonight for the right to play Fountain Valley, CA for the championship Monday Jul. 31 with Fountain Valley being the favorite. The winner of this tournament will go to Irving, TX to play in the Mustang World Series Aug. 2-5. Update 7/29/06:
The Mustang "A" team beat a very good Mililani, HI team last night 9-8 and advance to play Chandler, AZ tonight at 5pm! Great job boys! If they beat Chandler, they will play a second game at 7:30p most likely against the Bellevue, WA team to settle their grudge match. Update 7/28/06:
The Mustang "A" team lost a close game to Bellevue, WA 8-5. Bellevue played a near perfect game and have an ex-Seattle Mariner as one of their coaches(Jay Buhner). They now play a team from Mililani, HI tonight at 5pm. Both teams will play another game on Saturday regardless of the outcome of this matchup. Update 7/25/06:
It was a great game! The Mustang A team beat Orinda 8 - 3 to win the Regional Title and advance to the Mustang West Zone tournament in Chino Hills, CA. Incredible pitching by Bryson Brigman & Nathan Diamond!! Great hits by Jaden Sawyer & Matt DeQuiroz!! Awesome catches in the outfield by Greg Woodruff & Tyler Martin!! Every member of this team gave it everything they had during these 2 tournaments!!! We are so proud of these kids......Chino Hills here we come!!!!

Update 7/23/06:
They played an EXCITING game tonight against SJ PAC.....and won 18 - 12. They had us on the edge of our seats for the entire game! It was very hot out there, but we have one tough group of boys!!!!
The Championship game is Tues 7/25 at 5pm at PAL Stadium.

Update 7/15/06:
The Mustang B team finally ran out of gas with a tough 7-4 loss to San Jose Pac A team tonight. BV fought to the end leaving the bases loaded in the bottom of the 6th. BV Mustang B finished 3rd.
The Mustang "A" team won the sectional yesterday with a hardfought 3-2 win over Morgan Hill "A". The Morgan Hill team played very well, and we had to really scrap for one run in three different innings to pull it out. They had the tying run on third with one out in the 6th and could not get him home as Bryson Brigman struck out the final two hitters to finish the game.

Update 7/14/06:
All of BV's Mustang teams are in the final four in their respective tournaments. BV Mustang "A" played Morgan Hill "A" in the Morgan Hill Tournament on Wednesday and won 11- 0. Mustang "A" will play in the championship on Saturday in Morgan Hill. Mustang "B" defeated San Jose Pac 13 - 3 on thursday 7/13. They will play tonight 7/14 in the Semi Final Game at Hammer. Mustang "C" lost their elimination game last night to Los Altos 14 -12. Our guys had the bases loaded in the 6th but came up just a bit short. Great season guys.

Update 7/11/06:
After trailing 10-1 after 4 inings the Mustang B team rallied to beat Lakewood 11-10. BV scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 6th for the win. BV Mustang B plays San Jose Pacific B on Friday at Hammer.

Pony Division:

13's July 1, 2006 Los Gatos, California - Pony 13 started the BV All-Star play at a tournament hosted by Los Gatos. 7/1 lost to SJ Pal 9-3 but beat Sunnyvale/Cupertino 10-2 on Sunday 7/2. Next game is on Monday 7/3 against Los Gatos. The Pony 13's have been eliminated from Tournament play. They went 1-2 in Tournament play and played some great ball.

Bronco Division:

Bronco "C" July 9th, 2006 San Jose, California - On Sunday the Bronco "C" team played a very talented
Los Altos "A" team. The game was a hard fought victory for BV 4-3. The Miller twins pitched all 8 innings, Danny Miller starting the game giving 5 almost perfect innings and Steven Miller closing it our with 3 strong innings. Tim Coutts had a 3 run home run in the 4 inning to take the lead 3-1 driving in both of the Miller Twins. In the 8th inning Tim Coutts also drove in the wining run with a line drive to right.
The Bronco C team will be playing in winners bracket on Wed if anyone is interested to attend, 5:30 start @ Hammer in San Jose.

Pinto Division:

Pinto "A" & "B" July 10th, 2006 San Jose, California - The Pinto A team will be playing our Pinto B team tomorrow evening in the Championship game. Both teams have been playing some incredible baseball. Come on out and watch some great kids play ball and..... have dinner at the shack.

Update 7/13: The "A" team won the BV Tournament with the "B" team taking second place. The "A" team is off to Rodeo to play Pleasanton at the Zone Tournament tonight 7/13.
Update 7/15: The Pinto "A" team is 1-1 at the regional after a tough 5-3 loss to Tara Hills yesterday. The fact that they held T.H. to 5 runs is encouraging - and hopefully they can fight their way back to the championship games. They won their game Thursday under the lights against Pleasanton.
Update 7/17: The Renegades (A team) won an incredible game tonight 10 -7 against a strong Stockton team!!! Tomorrow night is the Championship game vs Tara Hills...
Update7/18: Well, the Pinto Renegades ended their season tonight with a loss to the Tara Hills team 3 -2. It was a great game!!
These boys played an incedible tournament, coming back in the loser's bracket to the Championship game. They played 6 tough games and each player contributed to the success of this team!!

Being the 2nd best team in Pinto in all of Northern CA is quite an accomplishment.

Pinto "A" Celebrates

 

Colt Division:

July 9th, 2006 Washington Park Santa Clara, California - The BV Colt team beat Los Gatos 9 - 2 in seven innings on Sunday at Washington Park in Santa Clara. Zack Jones pitched five no hit innings, and Jake Zamora pitched 2 no hit innings in relief. Both Boys combined for a no hitter. BV scored 9 runs on seven hits and had only one error. Timely hits by Zack Jones, Jake Molina, Jessie Figeroa, Josh Shelton, Angel Montalvo, and Cameron Guajardo led the charge. Our next game is on Tuesday July 11th, at 5:00 in Santa Clara's Washington Park. come out and support your Colt team.
Update 7/13: The BV Colt team beat a scrappy Los Altos team July 11th 9 -6 to advance in their tournament. BV was down in this game 5 -0 at one point but rallied to overcome the deficit. Jesse Figeroa came in on relief of Jake Zamora and shut down Los Altos. Jacob Molina had a key 2 run double to help close the deficit and Jones and Guajardo had timely rbi singles. Next game is against Campbell.
Update 7/14: BV lost it's game against Campbell by the score of 2 - 1. They play out of the losers bracket tonight against San Jose PAL.
Update 7/15:BV Colt lost 7 - 3 last night to PAL. The Colt team was down to 9 players due to injury, the bare minimum. It was a dissapointing loss, the game was all tied 3 - 3 in the sixth when PAL broke it open with 4 runs. In the end, sloppy play in the field was too hard to over come. Josh Shelton had a great game behind the plate in relief of a battered catching postion.

BV Teams Show Strong at Local Memorial Day Tournaments

May 30, 2006 Seaside California - This weekend in Seaside two of BV's teams showed very well. Our BV Blue team went 2-1 in pool play to get to the round of 4, and then lost Monday morning to BV's 10U club team. Their last game Memorial Monday afternoon was an incredible extra inning thriller, after which they settled to take 4th place in the tourney. Congrats to Mike Cordoni's team for a strong showing in the tourney.

The 10U club team went 5-0 in the tourney and won the championship late Monday afternoon. Nathan Diamond was the MVP of the tournament. His most exciting moment was in a tight game against Seaside during pool play. Down by a run in the last inning and down to their last out, Nathan came up and crushed a three run home-run to bring BV back.

The boys are home now sleeping like rocks, but for the second time in two years the Seaside tournament ended with a BV 10U club team on top. Congrats Vince Brigman and the 10U BV Stallions!!

IMPORTANT MESSAGE: Once a team begins play in PONY sanctioned tournament play, no team or player shall be permitted to play in any other tournament. (1) Teams that violate this rule shall be eliminated from PONY tournament play for the remainder of the season. (2) Player that violate this rule shall be eliminated from the roster and shall not be replaced for the remainder of the season. PENALTY: REMOVAL OF THE PLAYER AND THE TEAM MANAGER AND SHALL NOT BE REPLACED.
