BV Opening Day

BV Families,

Opening Day 2016 is this Saturday, April 2nd. Year after year, Opening Day is one of the biggest, and most successful events for Blossom Valley PONY Baseball. This is BV's 37th year, and it won't be an exception. With fun, games, and great baseball weather on the horizon, it's sure to be a great family day.

Opening Ceremony starts the day promptly at 10:00 a.m. Plan to arrive by 9:15, so we can get players organized and ready to go! Players should be in uniform, minus cleats, for the ceremony. The event takes place at Herman Intermediate School, with the ceremony on our Pony field along Shawnee Lane. Players gather with their teams in right fields, and should look for the stake with their team name.

Check with your team parent to find out when your team is scheduled for photos. From there, head on over to the Hit-A-Thon, if you didn't turn in your envelope, it's not too late! Register on the spot with a minimum of $10. A minimum of $35 gets your player our good looking Hit-A-Thon t-shirt, and the prizes go up from there, with each qualifying dollar amount submission.

Spend the day with your BV friends, enjoying inflatables and games (tickets and wristbands available at our ticket booth), BBQ, BV fan wear available, prizes for raffle, and, of course, BASEBALL at our Pony and Bronco division showcase games. We'll have a collection station for gently used baseball gear to round out team equipment bags. Helmets, bats, gloves, and catchers gear that's in good condition is welcomed.

Be sure to check your shift assignment with your team parent, and sign in at our information booth just before your shift starts. The same penalties for snack shack no-shows applies, so checking in for your shift is important.

Feel free to bring blankets to sit on, pop up tents to set up in the track area, and plenty of sunscreen, to help you enjoy the day!

On behalf of the Board of Directors of Blossom Valley PONY Baseball, here's to Spring 2016!
