President's Message

Welcome to the Blossom Valley Pony Baseball organization. I’d like to thank you for visiting our web site, and I sincerely hope that you and your children will have a positive experience with our outstanding youth baseball organization. It is a pleasure to serve all of the terrific families that coach, cheer and play in our league, and your BV coaches and board of directors look forward to the opportunity to once again lead your children into another fantastic year of baseball.

As we enter the spring of 2008, it appears the future is very bright for BV. Our fall baseball registration this past season was once again at record registration levels, and our spring program is one of the largest in the south bay. We added many new features to our program, offer additional training for our coaches, and we also expanded our relationship with both Kali Baseball (at South Bay Sports Training) and Hardtke World of Baseball this season to aid both our coach volunteers and our fine young athletes with their baseball skills and knowledge.

2008 promises to be another great year for BV baseball. We will continue to focus on the development of our athletes by extending Club Team programs for our Pinto through Pony divisions. Our board and many of our BV parents are working hard on field improvements, the development of young umpires, promotional activities, new uniforms and equipment, and facilitating improved training for coach and player development. But we are not perfect. I need to hear from those of you who have ideas or personal experiences to share.

We have a committed group of people leading our league that work long hours to provide this program for our kids. Please feel free to send me (email: president@bvponybaseball.com) with your ideas and feedback to help improve our league. Better yet, volunteer to get involved as a coach, team parent, field assistant, or with the board of directors that guide our direction and annual activities. Our web site is full of useful information in regards to our program, so please spend some time on the site. On behalf of the entire board of directors, I want to say that we look forward to serving you and your families during the next year, and we thank you for helping to make this league the very best for our children.
