Cutoff dates will no longer be April 30th but August 31st of year before season. Those who are effected are players with birthday months in May, June, July, and August.
This change was passed by PONY International and will be implemented by leagues around the country in 2018.
Blossom Valley is currently in the process of planning a modified Spring 2021 season that would possibly start by mid May and run through June. This all depends on if we get enough interest and coaches. Our goal is to do all we can to bring baseball back to the youth of our community. Currently the resumption of baseball resides on our county and local safety protocols allowing us to resume play. We plan to get our registration page set up so that we can start taking registrations
which will help gauge numbers for team planning and field reservations. We will not take fees and payment until we find out if the season is a go or not; but please make sure to register so that we can properly gauge the interest of players wanting to play. If we are able to have a season the plan would be to start practices by the Middle of May and get our players back out on the baseball field!!!
The guidelines regarding the return to youth sports continue to evolve. Our county is in the RED TEIR Phase.
In order to resume baseball play we need coaches, and many dedicated off-the field volunteers. If you are interested in helping out please email firstname.lastname@example.org.

We, the Board of Directors hope that you and your families are staying healthy and safe during this unprecedented time. This shelter in place is not what any of us wanted, but is necessary to flatten the curve and help keep all families safe.Due to the restrictions put out by our government, all leagues including PONY are not sure how to move forward regarding the baseball season. At this time, we await guidance from PONY officials; when they are prepared to share such instructions, we will share information with you. The BVPB board has been in communication and wanted our community to know that we have not forgotten about all of you and are vigilant in keeping up with the latest COVID-19 developments. As of March 28, 2020, all BV events (hit a thon/picture day & Fan Fest) have been postponed or cancelled if another date/time cannot be accommodated. Our local school districts will reassess their current procedures on April 23, and that will be a good time for BV to reassess as well. Please contact us with any questions or concerns regarding the above or any other safety issues at email@example.com
Stay safe and healthy,
BV Safety Director
